"Mosquitoes in Tucson" — Tucson Botanical Gardens, 2150 N. Alvernon Way. Learn about Tucson's three major mosquito species and what you can do to limit problems in your home and yard. Participants also will learn to distinguish the key species and hear information about mosquito biology, feeding patterns and mosquitoes' role in history. Sweet Corn Extravaganza — Apple Annie's Produce and Pumpkins, 6405 W. Williams Road, Willcox. From Tucson, take Interstate 10 east to Exit 340, then turn west on Fort Grant Road, travel 11.5 miles to the Apple Annie's sign, turn left on Williams Road, and follow it for two-tenths of a mile. Turn left into the farm. Pick your own sweet corn. Other vegetables include tomatoes, green beans, summer squash, cucumbers, and chile and bell peppers.
