Cassandrea Saucedo, 29, was arrested Nov. 21 after reportedly stabbing her soon-to-be ex-husband, authorities said.
The man called 911 to say that Saucedo had attached him with a knife while they were arguing, and he was waiting outside of the house for deputies to arrive, according to a post on the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.
Before deputies arrived at the house, 911 received a second call from the residence, but this time it was Saucedo, saying that her “ex-husband” was accusing her of stabbing him, but someone else had actually stabbed him the night before, the post said.
When deputies arrived at the home, they found the man with stab wounds to his left arm, torso, neck and the middle of his back. He told them that during the argument, Saucedo had grabbed a steak knife from the kitchen and stabbed him, the post said.
He was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Saucedo denied stabbing the victim, saying that he’d made her mad in the past to the point that she wanted to stab him, but hadn’t done it yet, the post said.
She was booked into the Pinal County jail in connection with charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, endangerment and domestic violence disorderly conduct, the post said.
