A 24-year-old Sierra Vista man was arrested Nov. 26 after a brief pursuit and faces domestic violence and kidnapping, authorities said.

Tyler Clark was taken into custody and booked into the Cochise County jail, Sierra Vista Police Department officials said. In addition to suspicion of domestic violence and kidnapping, he also faces suspicion of prohibited possessor of a firearm, disorderly conduct, unlawful flight and drug charges.

Clark is being held in lieu of $75,000 bail.

Shortly after midnight Saturday, an officer attempted to stop a green Mercury four-door sedan for speeding in the area of South Garden Avenue and West Wilcox Drive, according to a police department news release.

The car did not stop, which led to a chase by the officer. The car's driver, who was later identified as Clark, crashed the vehicle in the area of North Garden Avenue and Whitton Street, said authorities.

Clark was taken into custody without further incident. In his vehicle, police found a shotgun shell and illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia, authorities said.
