26-year-old Carlos Robles was arrested Feb. 26 in connection with the shooting death of a 25-year-old man at a Sierra Vista apartment complex, authorities said.

Police responded to a 911 call of shots fired shortly before 3:30 p.m. and found Arturo Vasquez Romero dead in the parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds, said Judy Hector, a Sierra Vista spokeswoman.

Officers searched the area and found the weapon near the apartment complex, and witnesses provided a description of a suspect who was located nearby and arrested.

Robles is being held at the Cochise County Jail on charges of first and second degree murder, according to Carol Capas, a spokeswoman for the Cochise County Sheriff's Office.
