Larry Nichols, 29, was been arrested Oct. 3 on suspicion of shooting a shotgun at an Uber earlier that morning, Tucson police said.
Nichols is facing three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was booked into the Pima County jail.
Officers responded at around 2:15 a.m. to East Grant Road and North Columbus Avenue for a shooting call. Officers learned that the caller that he was an Uber driver and was dropping off a customer in the 1900 block of North Madelyn Avenue, when a man fired several shots into the driver's side door and window of the car with birdshot.
Officers searched the area and found a man matching the suspect's description. He was taken into custody without incident. Officers found a shotgun and other evidence.
It doesn't appear the Uber driver or passenger were targeted.
