46-year-old Michael Marsh was arrested April 22, in connection with theft, possession of stolen firearms, possession of dangerous drugs and drug paraphernalia, authorities said.
Pinal County deputies responded to reports of a suspicious white van in an unincorporated area of Eloy, said department spokesman, Mark Clark.
30-year-old Christina Martinez was found, pushing a baby stroller that contained two clay pots, accompanied by Marsh, who was carrying an automotive jack.
The couple told authorities that they were looking for discarded items to sell, and didn’t know they weren’t supposed to take them.
Marsh was in possession of a gun that had been reported stolen, but he claimed to have bought it at a swap meet, Clark said.
Inside of a van that the couple was found with, officers found methamphetamine, another gun and what is believed to be more stolen items.
