Donors wanted
● The National Marrow Donor Program is holding a bone marrow drive to recruit new donors:
● Where: St. Ambrose School, 300 S. Tucson Blvd.
● When: 11 a.m.-5 p.m. today
● What's needed: Donors will give just one tube of blood to get the process started.
● Cost: While donors are often responsible for the average $65 cost of tissue typing, the Navy provided grant money for about 50 Anglo donors and an unlimited number of minority donors.
● For more information: Go to www.marrow.org or call program coordinator Sherry DeClercq at 319-3676. Feel free to ask if grant funding is left if you can't make it to the drive.
