A Tucson firefighter was fired Tuesday after he was cited in Florence last month on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Bryan Barrett, 32, was off-duty when he was cited for suspicion of DUI and released May 23, said Capt. Tricia Tracy, a Tucson Fire Department spokeswoman.
It is department policy to terminate firefighters who are arrested on DUI charges, Tracy said.
Barrett had been with the department since 2000.
