Trees-for-schools campaign ends Tuesday
Time is running out to contribute to a local campaign to plant trees in schoolyards.
The Trees for Tucson "Back to School" campaign, sponsored by Tucson Clean & Beautiful and Groupon Grassroots, will end Tuesday.
Groupon subscribers can pledge to support the initiative in increments of $10.
Each $400 will provide an area school with at least 10 new trees.
Since 1989, Trees for Tucson has provided more than 75,000 desert-adapted trees for planting at Tucson area residences and community spaces to provide shade and beautification.
