A federal judge has given no indication when she will rule in a legal challenge over 133 rejected ballots in the race for Congressional District 2.
U.S. District Judge Cindy Jorgenson took the challenge filed by the Ron Barber campaign under advisement following about 90 minutes of testimony this morning.
An attorney for the Martha McSally campaign says Barber's campaign does not have standing in the case, noting that the rejected ballots are not enough to overcome the 161-vote lead she has in the race.
During today's hearing the McSally camp also noted that two of the voters listed in the challenge appear to live in Rep. Raul Grijalva's district.
They also said the review sought by Barber's campaign could take days to complete and result in the delay the mandated Dec. 1 approval of the election results.
An automatic recount is anticipated next month.
