The driver was driving eastbound in the westbound lanes of Interstate 10 near Cortaro Road, according to department spokesman Trooper Kameron Lee. The crash occurred shortly after 7:30 p.m.

The driver and a DPS trooper were both taken to a hospital, but details of injuries are currently unknown.
