A man was killed after crashing his truck into a utility pole southwest of Tucson Thursday morning, an official said.

At about 6:30 a.m., deputies responded to the single-vehicle crash on South Camino Verde, south of the West Ajo Highway, said Deputy James Allerton, spokesman for the Pima County Sheriff's Department.

The man's name has not been released.

Traffic detectives have cleared the roadway, Allerton said.
