MARANA
1 Vandalism was reported at 11:45 a.m. April 9 at an office building in the 3500 block of West Ina Road. The property manager told police someone used a rock to break a second-floor window valued at $350.
2 Theft was reported at 5:16 p.m. April 6 at Tucson Community Church, 8150 N. Sandy Desert Trail. A church member told police someone stole two signs valued at $300 from a nearby intersection.
3 Criminal damage was reported at 11:58 a.m. April 6 at Crossroads at Silverbell Park, 7548 N. Silverbell Road. A town employee told police someone spray-painted black graffiti on the walls of two drainage tunnels.
PIMA COUNTY
4 Theft from a vehicle was reported at 11:39 p.m. March 31 in the 1600 block of West Roller Coaster Road. The owner told deputies the following: He heard a noise outside at 11:37 p.m. and looked out at his driveway. He saw a man running from his vehicle. The passenger-side window was broken out and his global positioning system unit had been stolen. A screwdriver found on the ground next to his vehicle did not belong to him.

5 A student was cited on suspicion of possession of marijuana at 7:29 a.m. March 30 at Cross Middle School, 1000 W. Chapala Drive. The assistant principal told deputies the following: A teacher saw the boy smoking a marijuana pipe at the bus stop. A small plastic bag of marijuana was found inside his backpack. The boy told deputies the following: Another student gave him the pipe and the marijuana the previous day. He smoked the pipe but did not like the taste and threw it away. He put the bag of marijuana in his backpack and brought it to school. He said he did not remember the name of the student who gave him the drug. He was released to his mother.
6 A fork lift valued at $2,000 and a trailer valued at $800 were reported stolen at 11:44 a.m. March 29 at a business in the 5200 block of North Highway Drive. The owner told deputies he was taking inventory of his vehicles and discovered the theft. He said someone cut the lock on the gate into the yard.
ORO VALLEY
7 A brush fire was reported at 6:50 p.m. April 10 near West Arrowsmith Drive and North Forest Lake Way. When police arrived, several people were trying to put out the fire with shovels and a garden hose. Two girls told police they noticed smoke and flames coming from a red cup near a path in the desert. They said they did see not who started the fire. Golder Ranch Fire District finished putting out the fire.
8 A 2003 Saturn valued at $3,500 was reported stolen at 10:32 p.m. April 7 at Saddle Ridge apartments, 450 W. Cool Drive. The owner told police the doors had been locked. She said a pair of boxing gloves valued at $40 and a gym bag valued at $30 were in the car.
9 A suspicious person was reported at 4:57 p.m. April 5 near West Congressional Way and North Pitching Wedge Lane. A neighborhood resident told police she noticed a man sitting on his bicycle watching children get off the school bus. She said she drove around the block and watched the man while she waited for her son's bus to arrive. She told police the man pretended to talk on his cell phone or fix his bicycle when she watched him. She said she did not see him pick up any children.
