Tucson police detectives are investigating a serious crash involving a pedestrian near the Pima Community College's Downtown Campus, an official said. 

Officers briefly shut down North Stone Avenue from East Drachman to East Helen streets due to the crash, according to Officer Ray Smith, a police spokesman. 

The area has since reopened.

The investigation is ongoing. This story will be updated.
