Sahuarita police officers arrested a man matching the description of a suspect in an armed robbery incident, authorities said.

Daniel Acosta,50,was identified as the suspect in the incident. He has been booked into the Pima County Jail and charged with one count of armed robbery, aggravated assault, burglary and kidnapping. 

At 9:10 a.m., department personnel executed a warrant at a residence near the 1000 block of Mowry Wash Lane and took the man into custody without incident.

Acosta is tied to an armed robbery at a Safeway gas station in Sahuarita on Jan.11. Evidence obtained by the department included video surveillance that led to identifying the suspect.

Sahuarita police Sgt. Michael Falquez said that it does not appear there are any additional suspects related to the incident.
