Tucson police find stolen art pieces from 2013 gem show

Stolen art pieces from Tucson's gem and mineral show in 2013 were recently recovered, officials say.

Tucson police served a search warrant for an unrelated case last month, which led to the discovery of the stolen items, police said. The suspects admitted they had stolen the pieces.

Although the pieces were recovered, police aren't sure who they belong to, the department said on Facebook

Anyone who knows the owner of the art pieces should call 791-4444 and select option 3 from the menu options.

Also, police advise Tucsonans to use foundrop.com, which is a platform that marks valuable possessions in the instance that they're stolen.
