Tucson weather: Cloudy with scattered thunderstorms

  • Updated

While monsoon storm clouds build over the Santa Catalina mountains, workers assemble a new crane on-site for construction on The Mark student housing near Broadway Boulevard and Park Avenue on July 10, 2018, in Tucson, Ariz. A fire crippled one existing crane and damaged a second, larger one.

Expect another cloudy day today.

There's a chance of scattered thunderstorms for most of the day, with heavy rainfall also being a possibility.

And temperatures are predicted to be back in the 90's this afternoon.

Yesterday, a flash flood watch was in effect for most of the day. On Tuesday, a train was derailed in the middle of a storm, a local animal shelter flooded, and many roads were closed.

High: 94

Low: 75
