Authorities investigate a vehicle crash on Interstate near Valencia Road Wednesday afternoon.

A vehicle crash in the median of Interstate 10 near East Valencia Road is causing "heavy backup" and delays in Tucson, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Department of Public Safety officials responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash with injuries westbound along I-10 at Valencia Road shortly before 2 p.m.

A white pickup truck with a trailer rolled into the median, DPS said. The department said there were reports that one person sustained serious injuries and several people were injured.

The crash is causing delays in both directions near milepost 267, according to the department of transportation.
