The Phoenix Fire Department is reminding everyone how to safely fry a turkey this holiday season. They say to fully thaw your turkey, use the right amount of oil at the right temperature, don't fry indoors, keep children and pets at least 3 feet away and "keep an eye on what you fry."

The Tucson Fire Department also offered cooking safety tips this week, including: If pans need to be on the front burner of your stove, turn the handles in; don't leave the stove unattended while cooking; and keep sharp knives away from the edge of the counter.
