A 16-year-old boy is facing criminal charges after the Pima County Sheriff's Department says he ran through a Tucson neighborhood armed with a rifle as he tried to evade deputies.

Footage from the department's fixed-wing aircraft of the Jan. 4 encounter shows the teen crashing a vehicle, grab two weapons and run through a neighborhood near South Sixth Avenue and West Irvington Road.

Officers used a K-9 unit to help apprehend the teen shortly after 1 a.m.

The boy's name was not released.
