Having worked with child nutrition programs in Arizona for 20 years, I find it totally amazing that school lunch policies still tag children as "free", "reduced", "paid" --denying lunch to "unpaid" or serving alternate, cheaper lunches to "unpaid." Idea: eliminate the current USDA and CCFP administrative costs that track, record, monitor and label students based on family income to make them fit into some designated "lunch program".

I think all would agree that a nutritious lunch is as important as a safe classroom, a desk, books, music, etc., etc. as part of quality education provided to every child.
