Thank you for writing this article. I first heard about the tragedy through Amphi High students, upset that there was no mention of the incident.
Unfortunately, our focus is narrow at times.
I want to share that the Congolese community and Iskashitaa Refugee Network Director Barbara Eisworth are raising funds for funeral costs. Contributions may be made via Paypal, cash, or check to Iskashtaa at 1406 E. Grant Rd., or donated bank to bank with a phone call to Iskashitaa at 520-440-0100.
From Dr. Eiswerth: "The costs of the burials and funerals are staggering ~$10,000 each and there is no way short of a miracle that we can do it before this Wednesday triple funeral.
