On November 19, 1863 at the dedication of the Soldiers National Cemetery in Gettyburg PA, President Abraham Lincoln spoke the words "that government of the people, by the people, for the people shall not perish from the earth". Great words by a great man. If he were alive today, would he think that the government still represents "the people"? I think not. I believe that this government has indeed perished. Special interests have taken the place of "the people". What do "the people" need to do to take their government back? Is it time for a new American Revolution?
