Sen. Flake's constituents are watching in breathless fear as an illegitimate process plays out for the supreme court. Brett Kavanaugh, on top of these numerous credible allegations of sexual assault, also has numerous unanswered shady payoffs. His integrity is beyond compromised and the judiciary committee could barely pretend to look into these matters.
Our senator may agree with this man's politics. But does he have the character of a person who should be deciding the most important legal decisions in the nation?
Senator Flake must stand up for something for once. He took this responsibility, it is his DUTY to take it seriously. Consequences to him for doing the right thing would be loud but minimal. Consequences to the people of this nation, to his constituents, if Kavanaugh should be seated, are quiet and tragic.
I urge Senator Flake to vote against Brett Kavanaugh.
