“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

The above became law in December 1791 as part of the Bill of Rights. In the years since the Amendment was codified, it has been interpreted in many ways. The most recent event in Las Vegas, NV certainly calls to question whether the weapons that avail themselves to the general population are really in the spirit and intent of our founding fathers. Why do we need these weapons of mass destruction in the hands of the individuals? We have our Militia, those who have a career serving the neighborhoods as Police, National Guard, and Military. These individuals serve and protect our Nation, States and Territories. Take these horrible, destructive weapons off the streets.
