One way to reduce paper mail is to convert your magazine subscriptions to digital so you can read them online rather than add to your clutter.
Should you recycle junk mail and office paper?
We were once told that a lot of junk mail was not recyclable because it was on glossy paper. That is no longer true.
Just pile that junk mail and paper in the recycling bin. If envelopes have a little cellophane window, leave it there.
If you shred it and you are in the city of Tucson, you should put it in a clear plastic bag first.
Outside the city, you can’t recycle shredded paper so if you shred all of your junk mail and paper, don’t recycle it. If you don’t shred it, then recycle away.
What about gift wrap? No, don’t recycle it. Nor should you recycle tracing paper.
