Ryan Aguilar scored on an error in the eighth inning to snap a tie and Arizona (2-0) went on to beat No. 20 Rice 6-2 on Saturday in Houston.

Aguilar opened the eighth with a single and later scored to make it 3-2. UA added three more unearned runs in the inning.

Aguilar went 4 for 5 and leadoff hitter Cody Ramer was 4 for 4 for the Wildcats.

Bobby Dalbec earned the win in relief with 2º scorless innings. Starter Cameron Ming allowed 2 runs in 6º innings.

UA will try to sweep the three-game series when the teams meet at noon Sunday.
