The world’s oldest tennis tournament kicks off July 3 as 128 of women’s finest players hit the grass courts at the All England Club at Wimbledon.
Elena Rybakina sets out to defend her crown while world No. 1 Iga Swiatek looks for her first title at the prestigious tournament.
Below we've got odds along with our favorite Wimbledon women's picks for the upcoming tournament.
2023 Wimbledon odds: Iga Swiatek odds and Wimbledon women’s picks
The women’s title at Wimbledon has proven to be up for grabs over the last decade, with eight different champions in a 10-year span.
Iga Swiatek will attempt to make it nine in 11 as the top-ranked 22-year-old vies for her first Wimbledon title. Here are 2023 Wimbledon odds for the women's draw along with a couple of picks to consider making (odds are subject to change):
- Iga Swiatek +350
- Elenda Rybakina +400
- Aryna Sabalenka +450
- Petra Kvitova +900
- Ons Jabeur +1200
Iga Swiatek Wimbledon odds (+350 or better)
Iga Swiatek staked her claim as women’s top tennis player in 2022 thanks to a dazzling season that saw the Polish star rack up a record 37-match win streak and two major championships.
Swiatek is coming off her fourth Grand Slam title after winning last month's French Open. She'll now set her sights on a Wimbledon crown in a tournament where she hasn't always been at her best.
The world No. 1 has never advanced past round four at the All England Club and was bounced in the third last year. Still, the 22-year-old is the player to beat this year according to the sportsbooks, and we'd feel pretty safe placing a bet on Swiatek in London.
She has a 36-6 overall record this season and has won her only grass match (as of this writing). In her career, the Warsaw native is 10-6 in limited grass competitions.
2023 Wimbledon women's odds: Elena Rybakina (+400 or better)
Elena Rybakina put her name on the map last year, claiming her first Grand Slam title at Wimbledon. The 24-year-old enters this year’s tournament as the world No. 3 – her highest-ever ranking.
Rybakina boasts a 33-8 match record this season, adding two singles titles along the way. She finished runner-up at the Australian Open in January and was ousted in the third round at the French.
The Moscow-born up-and-comer has competed just twice at Wimbledon, making it to the fourth round in 2021 before last year’s win. Rybakina is 1-1 on grass this year and 23-8 in her career. Her most recent title came at the Italian Open in Rome in May.
Wimbledon long shot pick: Jessica Pegula (+3400 or better)
Jessica Pegula is still looking to break through and claim her first Grand Slam title. The 29-year-old has played stellar tennis over the past couple of years but has been stymied by a quarterfinals wall at the majors.
Pegula is 0-5 in Grand Slam QF appearances and has never made it past round three at Wimbledon. The Buffalo native comes in as the No. 4 player in the world and the top-ranked American. She’s tallied a 31-10 match record this season and is 2-0 on grass courts.
Pegula will look to be the first American woman not named Williams to win at Wimbledon since Lindsay Davenport did it in 1999. While a long shot, you have to like the +3400 value you’re getting at FanDuel for the world’s fourth-ranked female.
