Pima College women golfers 14th at nationals

The Pima College women's golfers finished 14th out of 15 teams Thursday at the NJCAA National Championship in Mesa. The Aztecs had a four-day score of 1,502.

Paige Valles had three birdies on the day but finished with an 12-over-par 84, giving her a four-day total of 334, good for 33rd place. She was named second team All-Region for her play during the regular season.

Rachel Blount finished 69th with an overall score of 367 after closing with a 95). Carley Nelson shot a 108 and finished at 403; Casey Morinelli finished at 410 after shooting a 102; and Jessica Nordby shot a 104 to finish at 416.
