PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. (AP) -- Ronaldo Hernandez doubled and singled twice, also stealing a base as the Charlotte Stone Crabs beat the Bradenton Marauders 5-3 on Tuesday.

Zach Rutherford doubled and singled with two runs for Charlotte.

Bradenton tied the game 2-2 in the fifth after Adrian Valerio hit a solo home run.

The Stone Crabs grabbed the lead with three runs in the sixth inning, including a double by Hernandez that scored Jim Haley.

The Marauders saw their comeback attempt come up short after Robbie Glendinning hit a solo home run in the ninth inning to cut the Charlotte lead to 5-3.

Jhonleider Salinas (3-3) got the win with 2 1/3 innings of scoreless, two-hit relief while Samuel Reyes (0-3) took the loss in the Florida State League game.

Stranding 13 men on base, the Marauders did not take advantage of some good scoring chances in the loss.
