Salpointe Catholic's girls soccer team is heading to its first state championship match in 15 years.

The top-seeded Lancers held off No. 4 Ironwood Ridge 4-3 in penalty kicks on Tuesday night to win their 13th straight game and secure a spot in Saturday's Division II title tilt in Gilbert.

Seventh-seeded Tanque Verde topped No. 6 Pusch Ridge Christian in the Division IV semifinals earlier Tuesday evening at Tucson High, moving on it its first championship match.

Then fourth-seeded Palo Verde knocked off No. 1 Phoenix North Canyon 4-3 in overtime, moving on to its third title match in the last 10 years.
