Beginning in 1982, La Frontera's Tucson International Mariachi Conference celebrates 44 years with five days of mariachi and folklorico performances, workshops and celebrations through Sunday, May 3rd.

Events kicked off on Wednesday with El Mariachi Canta Vocal Competition at the MSA Annex, Thursday is the student showcase at Linda Ronstadt Music Hall, Friday is the Espectacular concert at Linda Ronstadt Music Hall, Saturday is Fiesta Garibaldi at Jacome Plaza, and finally a mariachi mass at noon Sunday at St. Augustine Cathedral.
