Tucson celebrates mariachi music this week with La Frontera's Tucson International Mariachi Conference.
The five-day conference that's marking its 44th year in Tucson is filled with workshops and performances.

On Thursday, young mariachis were set to be featured in the student showcase at the Tucson Convention Center's Linda Ronstadt Music Hall, followed by the Espectacular concert Friday night.
On Saturday, the Fiesta Garibaldi will be held at downtown's Jacome Plaza.
The conference wraps up with a mariachi Mass at noon Sunday at St. Augustine Cathedral.
