Watch now: Here's how you shouldn't fry your turkey this holiday season
The Phoenix Fire Department shared this demonstration in 2019 showing the dangers of deep-frying frozen turkeys. They say to fully thaw your turkey, use the right amount of oil at the right temperature, don't fry indoors, keep children and pets at least 3 feet away and "keep an eye on what you fry."
The Tucson Fire Department recently shared a list of holiday safety tips from the NFPA on Twitter, including advice to stay in the kitchen while cooking, make sure smoke alarms work properly, and keep children away from the stove and other hot surfaces.
