It feels like I just wrote an article anticipating a season of fun activities. Now that season is almost over. In another few days, the forecast is for temperatures in the 90’s, the snow birds are getting ready to say their good-byes. But, we still have much to recap and plan.

Valentine's Day Cocktail Party: Hara Lipman and George Delzell hosted a full house for our very successful potluck cocktail party. Their beautiful home and backyard were the perfect settings for lively conversation. Once again, the selection of appetizers and desserts didn't disappoint. And, I discovered an appreciation for sanqueria.

Ladies Coffee. Tuesday February 24 at the home of Marcia Gilbert. Thank you Marcia for hosting this coffee. And, for introducing some of your neighbors to the JFG. We enjoyed the view from your beautiful backyard and the yummy pastries.

Men's Dinner. Thursday, March 19. MountainView East Room. The interest in these dinners continues. The 20 participants, facilitated by Lawrence Mazin and Jack Rosenthal, delved into the relevant and serious issue of antisemitism. The monthly topics are attendee driven and will always be thought provoking and interesting.

Sunday March 8 at HOA1. 5pm. Dinner and Bingo. That was fun! A lot of fun. I haven't played Bingo in decades. Now, I'm wondering, why not? Although, the company of the other 37 attendees was probably what made this evening special. First we enjoyed a delicious dinner of lasagna, with all the necessary sides. Then, we played, yelled out our frustrations, and laughed. Congratulations to our winners Marilyn Anthony, Nate Einbund, Aaron Schoenberg, and Ellen Citron. Special thanks to Steve Rosen for his expert job as “caller” and to my guy Nestor for being able to see the numbers on the tiny balls! "A big thank you to Sharon Hoff for arranging another successful event."

Ladies Coffee March 25 10:30 am. A very big thank you to Sharon Triester and Eileen Feldgus for graciously hosting over 23 women in Sharon's lovely home. Needless to say, a houseful of women is never boring. These coffees continue to be the heart of the JFG. Attending these mornings gives us the opportunity to slow down, enjoy a cup of coffee, and laugh.

Our April Ladies Coffee will be in the home of Sandy Basker. Please watch for email with details. We still need a volunteer for May. If you would like to host please contact me at marnes1@comcast.net

Men's Dinners April 16 and May 21 at 5:30 MountainView East Room. In order to provide the atmosphere conducive to open discussions, the venue limits attendees to 20 participants. Although this is a “hot ticket” there is still room for you. Please contact Jeff Luftig at jeffreyluftig@gmail.com to let him know your desire to attend ASAP. Each month the attendees will decide on a topic, ranging from Technology & Modern Life to issues regarding retirement and lifestyles.

APRIL 2. Second Night Seder. HOA 1 Vistas. You will be reading this a few days before the event. As I write this, we already have 90 people registered to attend. I am certain this will be a very special evening. I will have a full recap in next month's edition.

Potluck. Tuesday, April 28, 5:00 pm HOA 1 Activity Center. Comfort foods. All those delicious meals we have been told aren’t good for us. But, still, somehow, make us feel better when we need some TLC. Now is the time to throw caution to the wind and reach into the old recipe box. Personally, I still eat as if I was a teen. Please watch for emails on RSVP and registration information. Contact Hara Lipman at h_lipman@msn.com with questions.

As a strictly social club we are not affiliated with any religious organization. Welcome all our neighbors to join us.

For any further information about the JFG or any of our events, please contact our president Sandy Rosen at sandyrosen458458@gmail.com.
