Some of your favorite hosts from AZPM will give us an update on the future of public Broadcasting in Arizona at 3 p.m. on Friday, December 5 in the DesertView Auditorium,
Panelists will include: AZPM CEO Jack Gibson; AZPM Radio Program Director Nicole Cox; Arizona Illustrated host Tom McNamara; AZPM classical music director and weekday morning announcer James Reel; and AZPM Chief Original Content Officer Bohdan Zachary. (Bohdan is also a proud SaddleBrooke resident.)
The AZPM panelists will talk about how our station and other public media stations across the country continue to adapt to a landscape without federal funding. Despite the challenges, AZPM continues expanding its News reporting team in a time when local media is shirking. AZPM continues to provide classical, jazz, TV programming and NPR on its radio stations. AZPM broadcasts outstanding programs from PBS, BBC, and other quality providers. And AZPM is producing podcast series like Arizona Spotlight; Arizona Science; and Navigating our Financial Times.
