Varnishing a wooden shelf. Paintbrush and can on the wooden surface

Is the smell of fresh cut wood, the sound of wood cutting or sanding tools, or the sight of a beautiful woodgrain a thrill? Then you are probably a great appreciator of wood working and all the challenges it brings.

Are you a word worker, wood enthusiast, or have plans to begin working with wood? Do you have a project in mind and do not know where to start? Need help with cutting, shaping, or processing wood or plywood? If so, you should consider joining the new SaddleBrooke Woodworker’s Club.

As a relatively new club in Saddlebrooke, we are recruiting new members and encouraging our existing members to participate in our monthly meetings. Our club focuses on offering repair, help and wood working with other club members. We meet once a month on the first Tuesday of each month at 2 p.m. This month’s meeting is in the Catalina Room (Mountainview Activity Center).

At this month’s upcoming meeting, we will hear proposed wood working shop in the new HOA-1 Community Center. This building is still several years in the future but there is real progress underway to have a wood shop. Our club is preparing for a possible shop. Join us to find out more.

For all of you home owners, our club is offering help with repairs, as well as new projects. Our members have been involved in repairs of broken chairs, tables, cabinet doors, drawers, some refinishing and other different challenges. Also building new cabinets, book cases and other endeavors. If you need some wood working help, contact us and one of our members will do their best to help.

If you want to get involved or want to contact us, send an email to sb.woodworkers@gmail.com.
