Little did Dick Schroeder know his career as a Midwestern banker would make him a perfect fit for the Senior Village Forms and Documents Team. Dick joined the team in December 2020 while still in its formative stage. With his background in the risk management side of loans, Dick developed team policies that minimized liability risk for Senior Village. In December 2022, he accepted the position of Co-team Leader with Stephanie Thomas and eventually became Team Leader in early 2025. As team leader, he mentored new advocates, encouraging them as they learned Arizona estate laws and powers of attorney. Dick enlisted his wife Karen to handle the copying of the Planning Ahead handbook and the exacting task of assembling chapter sections. Dick's contributions to the Forms and Documents team will carry forward. His keen attention to detail, his insistence on "setting boundaries" with members, his dry sense of humor, and his genuine caring about our advocates and members have contributed to the success of the Forms and Documents team. His work will continue to influence our policies and decisions. Dick and Karen are moving on to a new adventure outside of SaddleBrooke. We wish them the very best and frequent return visits to see us all.
