Photo courtesy of Pima athleticsThe Brothers Payne — Wesley and Landry, perhaps the most aptly named duo in Pima history — were as ferocious as they were productive.
Wesley, the ACCAC and WSFL defensive player of the year, led the NJCAA with 149 tackles en route to national All-America recognition. Landry, a star defensive back, had five interceptions and 54 tackles, as he garnered first-team All-America honors as well. They will continue their careers together in the fall at Oregon State.
