RAWLINS, Wyo. — A Wyoming inmate has been sentenced to eight to 10 additional years in prison for his role in an assault on a fellow prisoner.
The Rawlins Times reports that 35-year-old Bobby Schaper of Rawlins pleaded no contest Monday to a charge in connection with the November 2014 beating. Two other Wyoming State Penitentiary inmates were also charged in the incident.
Prosecutors say the three men attacked fellow inmate Eddie Magallanes and beat him until he was unconscious and bleeding severely.
Schaper is already serving time for voluntary manslaughter for his involvement in a fight in Rawlins. He was sentenced to serve the extra time after finishing his current sentence.
