Bill Edwards, who died Aug. 21 at age 71, opened the company now known as Tucson Appliance Company as Priority Appliance Company in 1993. When Edwards took on his son, Chris, as a partner in 1997, the Edwardses changed the name. The company gets its purple-and-gold color scheme from Sabino High School, which Chris Edwards attended.
