1. Sahuarita can dominate in Division IV
Through two divisional games, Sahuarita has outscored opponents 106-13, so there’s no doubt the Mustangs still have what it takes to be one of the teams to beat in Division IV. However, Friday’s sectional game at Pusch Ridge Christian should be very indicative of how far the Mustangs can go this fall. The Lions held off Cholla last week 34-28 for their fourth straight win; Sahuarita beat that same Chargers team 52-6 for its first win of the season. The Mustangs (2-3) essentially need to win out in order to have any shot at qualifying for the postseason and, if they continue to play like they have over the last two weeks, it’s very possible.
