Ballet Tucson kicks off its latest season with a performance dubbed "Spirit Garden," featuring the music of Calexico.
Joey Burns, one of the band's founders, helped Ballet Tucson's Cheiko Imada sift through the group's expansive repertoire to find the perfect songs for movement.
"Spirit Garden" will be premiered at the Temple of Music and Art alongside a second premiere, ballet master Daniel Precup's "Perseus and Andromeda."
The opening night gala takes place Friday, November 18, with additional shows Saturday, November 19-Sunday November 20.
