Devon Schaffner of AJP Electric helps lower an old highway sign indicating an Interstate 10 on-ramp near the 12th Avenue exit Tuesday. The Arizona Department of Transportation is installing more than 500 new signs on I-10 from the junction with I-19 to Craycroft Road as well as all the signs on State Route 210. According to C.T. Revere, senior community relations officer for ADOT, the new signs have better visibility and reflectivity. They also have a new font called “clear view,” which is the new federal highway standard adopted in 2009.
