Tucson golf pros Don Littrell of Skyline Country Club and Rich Elias of Torres Blancas Golf Club were tied for the lead entering today's final round of the 2006 PGA Southwest Section championship at Oro Valley Country Club.
Littrell and Elias were at 2-under-par 142 through 36 holes in the Southern Chapter event.
One stroke back was Jay Synkelma of El Conquistador Country Club. At even-par 144 were Paul Nolen of the Gallery Golf Club and Bob Gaona of El Rio Golf Course.
Also in contention, at 145, were Dennis Johnson of Quail Creek Country Club, John Basden of Oro Valley, Glen Griffith of Tucson Golf Schools and Chris Dompier of Skyline Country Club.
Defending champion Wade Dunagan of the Gallery was at 146.
