NORTHFIELD — Atlantic County freeholders will meet Tuesday in a return to regular business after several people spoke out against a freeholder’s Facebook post regarding the Women’s March in Washington.
The 30 people who spoke, most of them women, said they were offended by Freeholder John Carman’s meme that pictured a woman standing over a cooking pot with the caption, “Will the woman’s protest be over in time for them to cook dinner?”
Carman refused to apologize during the meeting, but did several days later at the public urging of Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson.
Today’s meeting is set to start at 4 p.m. at the Stillwater Building.
