Sean Elliott's father dies
It was sad to learn that Robert Elliott, father of Arizona All-American Sean Elliott, died last week in Tucson. Robert, who was divorced from Sean’s mother, Odiemae, before Sean’s Arizona career, mostly stayed away from public attention during the UA’s Final Four season of 1988. I once gave Mr. Elliott a ride from Iowa City, Iowa, to the airport in Cedar Rapids after Arizona’s epic victory over No. 3 Iowa in the winter of 1987-88. He was a good man. Services are pending. Sean will be in Tucson for the Red-Blue Game next Saturday.
