Since graduating from the UA journalism program 18 years ago, Guthrie has covered stories including the 2001 terror attacks and the trial of 9/11 conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui. As an NBC News correspondent, she covered Sarah Palin's campaign in 2008, and she travels the world as a member of the White House press corps. She has a law degree from Georgetown University.
Guthrie is set to be the keynote speaker Saturday at the University of Arizona graduation ceremony.
