A man who broke into a storage shed and tried to steal some wine and parts to a motor left behind an important investigative clue — his face clearly shown on a security camera.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department said that on June 19 a business owner reported an attempted burglary in the 5200 block of South Mission Road.
The business owner told deputies that a middle-aged man wearing a black tank top and black pants broke into a storage shed behind the business. The man tried to steal several bottles of wines and a motor piston and when confronted by the owner threatened to hit him with the motor part. The man then ran away.
The owner turned over a copy of a surveillance video that shows the man looking into the camera and walking around the property.
Anyone with information on the man can call 911 or 88-CRIME.
