Anthony Brown (Stanford)
Drafted: No. 34 by the Los Angeles Lakers
Position: Shooting guard/Small forward
The team: The Lakers went 21-61 last season and missed the playoffs.
The roster: There’s not much here. There’s that one guy Kobe Bryant, there’s Nick “Swaggy P” Young, there’s Julius Randle coming off an injury, Jordan Clarkson, Ryan Kelly, Tarik Black. That’s all that’s under contract right now. Depending on what happens in the offseason, Brown can play right away because of his 3-point shooting and defensive ability.
What people are saying: “It’s a surreal feeling. Especially being from the area, growing up watching the Lakers (and) one of the greatest players of all time, Kobe (Bryant). It’s definitely a surreal feeling, and I’m excited to get to work.” — Brown to Lakers.com.
